Nico Mingozzi when finished the Fine Art Academy, began an artistic path that involved different languages, including cmic strips adùnd methaphisical painting. In 2011 started a new language and body of work with a huge series of vintage prints, black and white, recuperated in flee markets and antique dealers.

The choice of the print activates the creative process that leads him to disfigure and distroy the image, and, we could say, the superficiality of what appears, to make possible that the figure could accessto a new, seductive and provocative status, revealing the monstrum, that can be hidden behind the conventionality of the appareance.

The use of disparate techniques , from Indian ink to acrily, scratch, staples, blood, adhesive tape, establishes a bond with different experimentations from the 20 th Century and calls to mind the figure of a “tailor”, that resew and gives back to the images a new identity, lacerated, painful and atrocious.
